Frequently Asked Questions

We know that healthcare professionals have unique concerns when it comes to therapy. Below are answers to common questions about confidentiality, scheduling, payment, and what you can expect from working with Restoring Health to Healthcare.

Who do you work with?

Our practice is dedicated exclusively to healthcare professionals. This includes physicians, nurses, medical students, residents, leaders, pharmacists, first responders, and allied health staff. Every service is designed to meet the needs of people working in high stakes clinical environments.

What kinds of issues do you help with?

We address burnout, compassion fatigue, anxiety, trauma from critical incidents, stress regulation, leadership challenges, moral injury, and difficulty with sleep or recovery. Our sessions are tailored to the realities of medicine and focus on practical tools you can use right away.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is central to everything we do. Private pay options are available so there is no insurance trail. We use HIPAA-compliant and secure platforms for telehealth and messaging. You choose what to share and when. Your privacy and professional reputation are always protected.

Do you accept insurance?

We are a private pay practice. Many clients prefer this model because it gives them maximum confidentiality and control.

What are your hours?

We understand that healthcare schedules can be demanding and unpredictable. Appointments are available as early as 5 AM to accommodate rounds and clinical shifts. We also offer daytime and limited evening sessions by request.

How long are sessions?

Standard sessions are 60 minutes. Depending on your goals and needs, we may schedule shorter check-in sessions or extended sessions for more in-depth work. We will decide together what format makes the most sense for you.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. Secure telehealth is available and fully HIPAA-compliant. This makes it easy to meet without travel and fits around demanding schedules. For those who prefer, in-person appointments may also be available depending on location and timing.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is about getting to know you, your history, and what you want from therapy. We will set goals together and begin building a plan that fits your life and professional demands. Many clients leave the first session with simple strategies they can start using right away.

Do you work with couples or families?

Our primary focus is individual therapy for healthcare professionals. In some cases, couples or family sessions may be arranged to support specific goals. This is decided case by case with careful attention to confidentiality.

How soon can I get an appointment?

We do our best to accommodate urgent needs and healthcare schedules. Early morning appointments often have the most availability. Contact us directly to find a time that works for you.
